Aquarium Post- Nona
This was my first time at the Seattle Aquarium! I was definitely excited when we arrived! I learned so much about the marine animals in the Pacific Northwest and how different they are to the marine animals in the south pacific. It was definitely a great way for me to learn about the marine ecology here! There were so many species that were new to me and so many that I recognized as well. I always thought the sea urchin was hands-down poisonous but I learned that they are harmless in cold waters! I also did not know there were such things as a green sea urchins, I thought there were only red. My favorites were the sea otters and the harbor seals; they were so cute and humorous. I was just amazed at just how many marine animals are home to the pacific northwest. One question I had was, What do they do to keep animals calm as they adjust to the new environment in the aquarium?
