Hi I'm Alicia. I am taking this marine biology course because I thought it would be fun to learn about marine life by visiting the beach and doing field trips which is something I don't think you can do very often in classes. Although I don't have much experience with marine biology and don't know much about the science side of it I find it very interesting. I don't have a major yet I'm still in high school doing running start but I think in the future I would want to pursue maybe teaching or linguistics. I find languages really interesting and fun to learn (even though I only speak english fluently). I do speak a some chinese though. My favorite marine organism would have to be jellyfish. This is because I lived on a boat for a year with my family when I first moved here from Yakima, and in the spring and summer time there would be a ton of jellyfish everywhere. There would be anything from tiny clear, baby jellyfish, to giant ones that would be bright red like the ones from nemo.
