Introduction: Justin Kusar
Hello, my name is Justin Kusar. To be honest, I am just trying to get my last credit for my AA degree. Although, I am very excited to take this class! I do have a personal interest in the marine environment. As a kid, I always ventured on the beach and discovered completely different world. I hope to gain a wider knowledge of what I can expect as far as wildlife goes. I find ocean life to be very interesting, and there really is so much more to learn.
I am not entirely sure where my education will take me overall. I have thought of pursuing some sort of engineering degree. Music is also passion of mine, so a music major would be useful to me. In recent years, my interest in scuba diving has taken me to new levels of the ocean I never thought I would experience in my lifetime. Since I have started, I have come closer and closer to considering a scuba diving job. If I can save up enough money, I can attend a commercial diving school and begin a career in the ocean! In the meantime, I figured this class will only help further expand my knowledge of marine life and contribute to my possible future.
So far on my scuba adventures, I've been able to swim with all sorts of underwater species I have never imagined or even heard of. One of my favorites is the great pacific octopus. I have been fortunate enough to observe one up close at depths of 80 feet! One interesting thing about me is that I play bass guitar and a little bit of piano on the side. I hope to combine my passion for music and my love for the ocean in interesting ways some day. I want to use music to introduce others to the world I have experienced beneath the surface. I also think it would be fun to try out underwater abstract photography, something like a lone piano sitting on the ocean floor. Anyway, I look forward to this class and learning more about the ocean!

That sounds like a really cool career path to go down. I've always enjoyed being in and around the ocean, although I haven't really gotten involved in scuba diving that much. It does sound like it's fun though. That's also super cool you've seen a giant pacific octopus up close. That must have been an awesome experience.
