Although I visited some aquariums when I was a kid, this was the first time I have been to the Seattle Aquarium. I was actually having the time of my life exploring the many different marine organisms and learning about their unique characteristics. I was surprised when the scuba diver was talking about the blue rockfish and how they could live up to 100-140 years! They also breed at around 50-60 years and have about 500,000 offspring! The scuba diver also talked about the phytoplankton and how they are the main feeding source for many small fishes especially in the summer. This made me realize that even the smallest organism could have big impact on the bigger organisms like seals, whales, octopuses, otters, humans etc. One question I would ask would be: what are the behaviors the new organisms have for the ones that have already been there? Vice versa?
