Edmonds-Marsh: Bre Jarrell
Ignore the greenery for now and let's focus of the mushrooms partially hiding behind them. While at Edmonds Marsh I saw these mushrooms near the sidewalks. I'm assuming these mushrooms are fairy ring mushrooms, but I'm not completely certain. These mushrooms help with the decomposing in the swamp. While visiting the marsh I was told the biggest process to occur was decomposition, so these mushrooms are an important part of the marsh. Before then, I would have assumed decomposition was a much smaller part of the marsh's processes. While looking at these mushrooms and noticing that I couldn't really see any farther in the marsh, I was wondering if any other species were closer to the center, but unnoticeable because they were hidden by other wildlife in the area.
