Marsh by Andrew Chung
We saw the cat tail in the Edmonds marsh. I believe that the
ecological role of the cat tail is to filter the water as new water is
introduced into the marsh. It gets rid of chemicals that may be harmful to
other organisms. It can also be habitats for animals such as ducks and small
organisms. The most interesting organism that I saw was probably the heroin. I
did not know that marshes were home to many different organisms. I thought it
was mainly just for birds. One question that I had was why do cat tails have
the bushy top?
