Spencer Island
These were buttercup flowers at Spencer Island
1.) I saw the organism by the shoreline
2.)The organism was not doing anything but sitting right there
3.) I think that the flowers can provide shelter to small bugs and other organisms
4.)The most interesting thing i saw on this trip was the great blue heron on the walk over
5.)Something that i learned today that changed my perspective about wetlands was how many different organisms live in wetlands. It was a lot easier than i thought to find a bunch of organisms for each location
6.) One marine bio question i had would be how is the role of decomposers different at a wetland like Spencer island than those at a marsh such as Edmonds

I hope to see the answer to your question in your wetland report!
ReplyDeleteI love these little buttercups! I've been surprised and amused when I learned their name in English. In France, kids usually pick a flower and put it under each other's neck. If the yellow color is reflected on your skin, this "means" you love butter! Funny anecdote and memory with these little flowers...
