Carkeek
Sorry for the late post I've had a pretty crazy week.
I found this organism in the inner tidal zone just outside a tide pool. The starfish just seemed to be relaxing on a patch of sand in between a couple of rocks. Starfish are carnivorous and are also decomposers. They also play an important role in keeping the food web balanced.
The most interesting thing I saw on my trip to Carkeek Park was the baby flounders swimming in a tidal pool. I couldn't get a picture of them but they were very cool to see. Nothing really taught me anything new but I got to see animals that I have never seen before. I also was shocked to see how many different animals there are in the inner tidal zones.
One question that I have is do the hundreds of children that come to Carkeek Park every week destroy the habitat?

Thats a really cool picture and I believe the children do just because they don't know how to properly go about tidepools.
