Shannon-Point
This is a picture I was able to take of two red rock crabs at the Shannon point tide pools. They were slightly moved from the places they were found, but it is believed they were attempting to mate with female red rock crabs. I believe the red rock crabs ecological role is a predatory one, feasting on smaller prey. I think the most interesting thing I saw at Shannon point were some of the echinoderms and the wonderful sea cucumbers.
I already believe the Pacific Northwest coast was very important but seeing a beach that was much less affected by industry really shows how much of an impact everything we do has.
What is the most amount of legs a type of sea star can have?
Cannot see your photo. :(
